Rymill Coonawarra was founded in the early 70's by Peter Riddoch Rymill, the elder son of John and Eleanor Rymill. Coonawarra is a small strip of land in the heart of the Limestone Coast in South Australia. Producing wines that unmistakably speak of their place and reflect the character of their makers.
It was the first family-owned wine business in the Coonawarra region to boast Freshcare and Entwine accreditation achieved in 2012. These organisations provide the industry’s sustainable certifications, enabling you to see which wines are made with the highest standards and least impact on the environment.
From its distinctive winery, widely recognised by two majestic bronze stallions rampant, the Rymill Family is proud to present this classic Coonawarra wine made from grapes grown exclusively in its own terra rossa vineyards. The Shiraz variety has long thrived in Coonawarra's cool climate. This wine, from the family's oldest vines, offers traditional spicy, peppery and blackcurrant flavours that have been enhanced by ageing in oak barrels to create a harmonious wine of great volume and depth.
