Bremerton Vintners lies in the region of Langhorne Creek in South Australia. Langhorne Creek is unique in that it sits on the rich soil of the Bremer River flood plain and is known as a cool climate region, relatively disease free and a producer of exceptionally high and consistent quality fruit. Fresh cool evening breezes from Lake Alexandrina provide a microclimate of mild to warm summer days and cool evenings, perfect for the long ripening of the grapes producing intense and sought after cool climate flavours.
This very limited release of Old Adam Shiraz is a result of fastidious batch and barrel selection from the wonderful 2019 vintage.
The Old Adam is a combination of parcels of wine from the best blocks of shiraz from the Bremerton vineyards.
These vineyards are influenced by the temperature micro climate of warm days, cool evenings and dry conditions with prevail in Langhorne Creek during the ripening season. The 2019 season is an excellent example of premium Langhorne Creek shiraz, showing intensity of rich fruit flavours and elegant integrated oak, providing a delicious well structured complex wine.
Every vintage, each parcel of Shiraz is assessed and the most outstanding are nurtured to complete 22 months maturation before being blended to create the Old Adam. This maintains the quality, distinction and reputation of this fine wine.
